DZ Rating 2.0: A Rating That Measures the Whole Round

Every player rating on DZ Portal now runs on a new round-by-round formula. Kills still matter, but so do survival, opening duels, clutches and damage.

Every rating on DZ Portal now runs on DZ Rating 2.0.

The old rating leaned too heavily on kills and gave inflated numbers. The new one is calculated round by round, in the style of the ratings used in pro CS2, and it looks at everything a player brings to a round.

What goes into it

Firepower. Kills per round and multi-kill rounds.

Survival. Dying costs you. A player who stays alive and trades well is worth more than one who gets a kill and dies straight after.

Impact. Opening kills, multi-kills and clutches: the rounds that swing games.

Damage. Average damage per round.

Support. Utility damage and flash assists count a little too.

On the same scale as FACEIT

We calibrated DZ Rating 2.0 so its numbers read like FACEIT's: 1.00 is an average performance. Colours follow the whole DZ player pool: green from 1.45 is roughly the top 20%, blue from 1.15 is above average, yellow from 0.85 is around the middle, and red is below.

Everywhere on the portal

Player profiles, match scoreboards, leaderboards, DZPL Season MVP, the Kaizen stats and Fantasy FDZ points all use the same rating. Every past match was recalculated, so old and new games compare fairly.
